I studied at the Educational Center for the Arts in New Haven, Connecticut. ‘ECA’ is a public, half-time, magnet high school for the arts. And later, attended the Cleveland Institute of Art. The son of an artist and art teacher, I built a successful 30-year career as a commercial artist in New York City, including serving as a studio manager for a Madison Avenue advertising agency.
In addition to my work in advertising, I co-founded Blue Barn Works, a toy development and manufacturing company, as well as a bicycle cap manufacturing business. Most recently launched Paper Top Printouts—an engaging, hands-on way to explore color theory while creating spinning tops.
A lifelong passion for painting, photography, and the arts continues to shape my work, culminating in the current creative pursuits.
